SHOPIAN, SEPT 21: Security forces conducted a joint mock drill along the railway track at Wachi in Zainapora to test operational preparedness, coordination and response capabilities in the event of a security contingency involving railway infrastructure.
The exercise simulated multiple operational scenarios requiring swift mobilisation, coordinated action, area domination and strict adherence to established SOPs, with participating personnel carrying out tactical-response and communication drills along the railway track.
The mock drill involved SDPO Zainapora, SOG Zainapora, OCAPS Team Zainapora, SHO Zainapora, IC Police Post Wachi and personnel of 178 Battalion CRPF.
The teams were briefed on the exercise plan and operational objectives before the drill commenced.
A detailed debriefing was conducted after the exercise to assess the response, review coordination mechanisms and identify areas requiring further improvement.
The exercise concluded successfully, reinforcing inter-agency coordination and operational readiness for the protection of vital railway infrastructure and rapid response to any emerging security situation.
