KULGAM, SEPT 14: Senior Superintendent of Police Kulgam chaired a comprehensive security review meeting at the Conference Hall of DPO Kulgam, directing officers to maintain heightened alertness and further intensify counter-terror operations to safeguard peace and public security across the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional SP Kulgam, DySPs, IC PCs, IC OCAPS and IC Markhore, during which the SSP conducted a detailed assessment of the prevailing security situation and reviewed the preparedness and progress of ongoing anti-terror operations.
Issuing clear directions to the officers, the SSP stressed the need for foolproof security planning, intensified area domination and stronger intelligence-based operations to effectively counter emerging security challenges.
The SSP directed officers to maintain round-the-clock vigilance and close coordination, particularly in vulnerable areas, and ensure prompt response to any suspicious activity or security threat.
He further called for firm and decisive action against anti-national elements, reiterating that there would be zero tolerance towards activities inimical to national security, peace and public tranquillity.
The SSP emphasised that sustained, focused and intelligence-driven operations must continue to identify, disrupt and neutralise terror-support networks and other elements posing a threat to the security environment.
He directed all officers to remain operationally prepared and ensure that security measures are implemented effectively on the ground to maintain a peaceful and secure atmosphere across Kulgam district.
