PULWAMA, SEPT 22: SSP Pulwama Sahil Sarangal, chaired a comprehensive crime, operational and security review meeting at the Conference Hall of District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama, issuing a series of directions to officers to tighten investigations, strengthen field policing and ensure timely delivery of public services.
The meeting was attended by all Gazetted Officers, SHOs and District Officers of Pulwama Police.
The SSP reviewed the overall crime situation, pending investigations, operational preparedness and security arrangements across the district, besides taking a detailed assessment of compliance with directions issued during previous review meetings.
Sarangal directed investigating officers to maintain close supervisory control over investigations and ensure quality and timely disposal of cases.
Special focus was placed on 60-day and 90-day cases, NDPS and UAPA cases, serious offences and other pending investigations.
Officers were instructed to strictly adhere to prescribed timelines and intensify follow-up in cases involving organised criminal activities and drug trafficking.
Reviewing the operational and security preparedness, the SSP directed officers to strengthen area domination, surveillance and intelligence-based policing, particularly in vulnerable areas.
He called for greater coordination among field formations and instructed officers to remain proactive in identifying potential security and law-and-order challenges and take preventive measures well in time.
The SSP further directed officers to ensure the timely disposal of verification cases, execution of court summons and warrants and concerted efforts to trace missing persons. He also stressed prompt redressal of public grievances and directed field officers to remain accessible and responsive to citizens.
Concluding the meeting, SSP Pulwama emphasised professionalism, accountability and disciplined policing, directing all ranks to maintain effective supervision, strengthen ground-level policing and work with dedication towards ensuring peace, security and efficient public service delivery across the district.
