Jammu, Oct 8: “Zero tolerance towards terrorism in all its forms has been one of the biggest takeaways of the Modi government,” said BJP MLA Udhampur East Ranbir Singh Pathania, while addressing the gathering following a Rangoli competition organised at Ayesha International School, Udhampur.
Pathania said that under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a new sense of security and confidence has been created in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the government has taken firm and uncompromising measures against terrorism, its financing and its support ecosystem.
“Hawala funding has been curbed; the terror ecosystem has been dismantled and those providing shelter and support to terrorism have also faced decisive action. The message is loud and clear — the central government has zero tolerance towards terrorism,” BJP MLA said.
He said that the demolition and attachment of properties associated with terrorists and their supporters also sent a strong signal that the government would not allow the support infrastructure of terrorism to flourish.
“PM Modi’s journey is a story of leadership during crises,” said Pathania.
Referring to the 25 years of public service of Narendra Modi, he said that his journey has been marked by leadership during some of the most challenging phases faced by the country.
He recalled the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, economic disruptions, demonetisation, geopolitical developments, Central Asian challenges and evolving global circumstances, saying that India emerged from these difficult phases with greater confidence and a stronger global standing.
Pathania said that the Prime Minister’s clarion call of “Viksit Bharat” and the vision of making India one of the world’s top three economies has provided the nation with a clear developmental direction.
He said, “PM’s “We will do it” – is not merely a slogan; it is an inspirational vision and an undertaking for every citizen. The journey towards Viksit Bharat has to become a people’s movement.”
Speaking about development in Udhampur East, Pathania said that road connectivity remained one of his foremost priorities.
He kick-started road works from Ambi Nallah towards Spa village, Sundla, as well as the main road leading to Shri Sahib Bandagi Ashram at Nakki, despite challenging weather conditions.
“Roads are the arteries of a nation. Better connectivity means better access to education, healthcare, markets, tourism and employment. I am determined to make Udhampur East a hub of robust road connectivity.” Pathania said.
He further announced that the Dhar Road would be fully macadamised shortly, while potholes and damaged stretches would also be attended to through necessary patchwork and repair works.
Pathania said that the focus would remain on durable and quality infrastructure rather than temporary interventions, adding that improved connectivity would give a major boost to the rural economy, tourism and movement of people.
He said that the vision of Viksit Bharat has to begin from the grassroots, with developed villages, better roads, stronger infrastructure and improved public facilities.
The MLA also interacted with students and participants during the Rangoli competition and appreciated their creativity and enthusiasm.
