DODA, SEPT 29: The 5 JKAP-IR Battalion, Beoli Doda, organised a plantation drive under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026-27 in observance of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, bringing together police personnel and members of the local community for an environmental conservation initiative.
Officers and officials of the Battalion, along with local residents, actively participated in the plantation activity and planted saplings within the Battalion premises.
The drive focused on creating greater awareness about environmental protection, encouraging community participation and highlighting the importance of preserving the natural environment for future generations.
During the programme, participants were encouraged to take collective responsibility for protecting the environment and ensuring the proper upkeep and growth of the planted saplings.
The event concluded with a message stressing that sustained community participation and individual responsibility are essential for protecting the environment and maintaining a healthy natural ecosystem.
The initiative also reflected the commitment of the 5 JKAP-IR Battalion to undertaking community-oriented activities under CAP 2026-27 while strengthening its engagement with the local population.
