REASI, SEPT 17: Reasi Police directed field officers to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances and timely resolution of local issues during Thana Diwas programmes conducted at multiple locations across the district, while stressing the need for sustained police-public interaction and stronger community participation.

At Police Post Kakryal, under Police Station Katra, the Thana Diwas was presided over by SP Katra, along with SDPO Katra and SHO Katra.

During the interaction, members of the public projected various grievances and local issues.

The officers heard the concerns and issued necessary directions for their early disposal.

At Angralla, Mahore, SDPO Mahore and SHO Mahore conducted the programme and directed participants to remain vigilant about emerging crime trends and promptly share relevant information with police.

The officers stressed that timely inputs from the public can assist police in taking preventive and investigative action.

At Village Chillad, a far-flung area under Police Station Arnas, SHO Arnas interacted with local residents and respectable persons and directed that public concerns be addressed expeditiously.

Issues requiring intervention at higher levels were assured of being taken up with the concerned authorities, while some grievances were resolved on the spot.

Reasi Police directed its field formations to maintain regular engagement with the public, ensure effective grievance redressal and strengthen community-based policing, reiterating that police-public cooperation is essential for maintaining peace and security across the district.
