SOPORE, SEPT 9: Continuing its sustained campaign against the menace of drugs, Sopore Police, in coordination with the Revenue and Excise Departments, conducted a joint drive at Panzipora Tarzoo and destroyed wild cannabis plants growing in the area.
The operation was aimed at eliminating potential sources of narcotics and preventing the illegal cultivation and spread of cannabis in the region.
Police said such joint enforcement actions will continue as part of ongoing efforts to curb drug-related activities and protect the younger generation from the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The drive also reflects the coordinated efforts of law-enforcement and civil departments towards making the area drug-free.
