SRINAGAR, SEPT 23: BJP J&K General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul paid floral tributes to the Veer Balidanis of the 1967 Parmeshwari Agitation at the Samadhi Smarak located at the revered Shri Sheetal Nath Temple in Srinagar.
Remembering those who made the supreme sacrifice during the agitation, Koul said their courage, commitment and sacrifice hold an important place in the history of Jammu and Kashmir and would continue to be remembered with respect.
He said remembering such sacrifices was an important responsibility of the present generation and emphasised that the values of courage, dignity and commitment to society associated with those who made sacrifices continue to inspire people.
Koul also stressed the need to preserve Jammu and Kashmir’s historical, cultural and heritage sites so that future generations remain connected with the region’s history and traditions.
KDD District President Rajeev Pandita and other senior BJP leaders were present on the occasion.
