AWANTIPORA, SEPT 18: J&K Police in Awantipora organised a Mini Marathon from IUST Crossing to District Police Lines (DPL) Awantipora under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026–27, drawing enthusiastic participation from local youth and sports enthusiasts.

The event was organised to promote sports, fitness and a healthy lifestyle, while encouraging young people to channel their energy into constructive and positive activities.

SSP Awantipora interacted with the participants and encouraged them to make sports and physical activity part of their daily lives.

He highlighted the role of sporting activities in fostering discipline, physical fitness, confidence and positive engagement among youth.

The marathon also provided an opportunity for police and the local youth to strengthen community interaction through a sporting platform.

At the conclusion of the event, cash prizes, certificates and mementoes were distributed among the winners and participants in recognition of their performance and enthusiastic participation.
