NEW DELHI, SEPT 18: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday participated in a two-day conference on “Financing India’s Journey towards Viksit Bharat”, organised by the Union Ministry of Finance, with discussions focusing on financial strategies to support long-term economic growth.
The conference brought together Chief Ministers, Finance Ministers, Finance Secretaries and senior officials from states and Union Territories to deliberate on financial and economic priorities linked to India’s development goals.
According to the Office of the Chief Minister, the deliberations are expected to help shape clear financial pathways for Jammu and Kashmir, with particular emphasis on macroeconomic growth, agricultural transformation and renewable energy.
The discussions are aimed at advancing a development framework that combines economic expansion with sustainable and inclusive growth.
The J&K government said participation in the conference would provide an opportunity to deliberate on financial priorities and explore pathways that can support the Union Territory’s economic transformation and development requirements.
