LEH, SEPT 24: Director General of Police, UT Ladakh, Anand Jain, held an interactive meeting with members of the Retired Police Welfare Association (RPWA), Leh, at Police Headquarters, Leh, to discuss issues concerning the welfare and well-being of retired police personnel and their families.
During the meeting, Sonam Dorjay, President, RPWA Leh, apprised the DGP of various concerns and grievances of the association and sought his support in strengthening the organisation and promoting welfare measures for retired personnel.
The meeting witnessed detailed deliberations on issues related to the welfare of retired police officers and officials and their families. The DGP appreciated the experience, dedication and continued contribution of retired personnel, particularly their involvement in various welfare activities.
DGP Jain assured the association members of his support and expressed interest in facilitating suitable office space for the RPWA besides exploring other possible welfare measures that could be extended by Ladakh Police in the future.
Several senior retired police officers and personnel, including Nawang Tsering Shunu, Retd. SP, and Tsering Angchuk Lakrook, Retd. DySP, participated in the interaction and shared their views and suggestions.
During the meeting, AIG (Personnel), PHQ, and AIG (Provision), PHQ, also briefed the participants about various initiatives and possible measures being considered by Ladakh Police to support retired personnel and their families and address their welfare requirements.
The interaction concluded on a positive note, with the DGP reiterating Ladakh Police’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of retired personnel, acknowledging their dedicated service to the police organisation and the people of Ladakh.
