SRINAGAR, SEPT 24: Director General of Police J&K Nalin Prabhat, chaired a security and operations review meeting at PCR Kashmir, taking a detailed assessment of the prevailing security situation and directing officers to further sharpen field-level preparedness, intelligence coordination and operational capabilities.
The meeting was attended physically by IGP Kashmir Sujit Kumar, IPS, DIG CKR, SSP PCR Kashmir, SSP Srinagar, SP Cargo and other senior officers, while DIG SKR, DIG NKR and all district SSPs of Kashmir Zone participated through video conferencing.
Senior officers briefed the DGP on the prevailing security scenario, operational preparedness and key security developments. The meeting also reviewed structured initiatives aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities, specialised expertise and operational readiness of police personnel.
DGP Nalin Prabhat directed officers to maintain heightened vigilance, proactive policing and seamless coordination, with particular emphasis on timely sharing of actionable intelligence and translating intelligence inputs into effective field-level action.
The DGP stressed that personnel must undergo regular, specialised and need-based training to remain prepared for evolving operational challenges.
He called for greater adoption of modern and technology-enabled policing tools, while directing officers to ensure continuous opportunities for professional development and specialised skill enhancement.
The meeting concluded with clear directions to maintain a sustained operational focus, strengthen professional capabilities and ensure that every police unit remains prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to emerging security requirements.
