RAMBAN, SEPT 24: Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Tejinder Singh, visited District Ramban and conducted a comprehensive security review with senior police officers, directing the district police to maintain heightened vigilance and strengthen operational preparedness.
Accompanied by DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range Sargun Shukla, the IGP assessed the overall security arrangements across the district, with particular focus on preventive policing, operational readiness and protection of critical installations.
During the review, the IGP stressed the need for a proactive security posture and directed officers to remain alert to emerging threats, strengthen preventive measures and ensure effective preparedness at the field level.
He also underlined the importance of responsive and public-oriented policing, directing officers to remain accessible to citizens and take timely action on issues affecting public safety and confidence.
The visit concluded with clear directions to maintain a robust security mechanism, strengthen preventive policing and ensure operational readiness at all levels to effectively meet emerging security challenges in the district.
