GANDERBAL, SEPT 24: Ganderbal Police continued its sports and youth engagement initiative through the Grand Knockout T20 Police Cricket Tournament, with several competitive matches producing impressive individual performances.
In the first match, Hill Top School defeated Crescent Rangil by eight wickets, with Ovais earning Player of the Match honours after a superb bowling spell of 5/11.
Fayaz 11 registered a 76-run victory over Al Ummah Cricket Club. Arshid Malla was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round display, smashing 67 runs off 37 balls before taking three wickets in three overs.
In another close encounter, Kachan Stars edged past United Sports Waliwar by three runs, with Nisar Bashir named Player of the Match.
Lions Ganderbal defeated United 11 Batwina by five wickets, with Afroz Ahmad earning Player of the Match recognition for an outstanding 5/24 bowling performance.
The tournament continues to provide a competitive sporting platform for local cricketers while promoting youth participation, sporting talent and positive community engagement through the Police-led initiative.
