RAMBAN, SEPT 13: District Police Ramban mourned the demise of SPO Mohd Farooq, who passed away on Sunday after a prolonged illness.
Farooq, son of Ab Rashid and resident of Seripura, Tehsil Gool, Ramban, was presently posted at SPO Post Galli. His untimely demise left officers and personnel of the district police deeply saddened.
In recognition of his service and contribution to the Police Department, a guard of honour and ceremonial salute was accorded to his mortal remains during the last rites.
SSP Ramban Arun Gupta, DySP DAR/DPL Ramban Kuldeep Sharma, SDPO Gool Kuldeep Kumar and other police personnel visited the bereaved family, conveyed their heartfelt condolences and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
The visiting officers, on behalf of the DGP J&K, IGP Jammu Zone and DIG DKR, assured the bereaved family of all possible assistance and support during this difficult time.
District Police Ramban expressed solidarity with the family and paid tribute to the departed SPO for his service to the department.
