RAMBAN, SEPT 21: District Police Ramban is set to organise a series of multi-sports and co-curricular activities across the district under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), aimed at promoting fitness, discipline, teamwork and constructive participation among local youth.
The upcoming programme will feature cricket, volleyball, athletics and a mini marathon, bringing together participants from different parts of the district in a spirit of healthy competition.
The mini marathon will provide young runners an opportunity to demonstrate their endurance and sporting spirit against the backdrop of Ramban’s mountainous landscape. Cricket and volleyball matches will also provide participants a platform to showcase their skills, with winning and runner-up teams to be recognised with trophies.
Beyond sporting activities, the programme will focus on interaction, dialogue and leadership development, under the theme “Ideas, Dialogue, Leadership — A Stronger Ramban.”
The initiative is designed to encourage confidence, teamwork and community participation while strengthening interaction between the police and local residents.
The programme will promote values of respect, discipline, fitness and personal growth, while providing youth with constructive avenues to pursue sports and other productive activities.
Through the CAP initiative, District Police Ramban seeks to combine sporting competition with community outreach, encouraging young participants to compete, collaborate and develop leadership and teamwork skills.
