BARAMULLA, SEPT 12: Baramulla Police intensified its crackdown on the illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals, seizing a dumper for operating without valid royalty documents during surprise checking at Gantamulla, Sheeri.
During the checking operation, police intercepted dumper bearing registration number JK05L-3464 and found that the vehicle was not carrying the required royalty documents. The vehicle was subsequently seized and challaned under relevant provisions of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act (MMDR Act) for further legal action.
The latest action is part of the ongoing enforcement drive aimed at preventing unauthorised extraction and transportation of minor minerals and ensuring compliance with prescribed regulations.
Baramulla Police reiterated that strict action will continue against individuals and vehicles found involved in illegal mineral activities and urged all stakeholders to comply with the applicable legal requirements.
