SRINAGAR, SEPT 22: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Tuesday launched the ‘e-Nyaya Sarathi’ web portal and mobile application, a new digital platform aimed at providing citizens with convenient, unified access to legal information, judicial resources and government legal services.
Developed by the Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, the platform brings multiple legal services under a single digital interface, allowing citizens to access essential information and services without repeated visits to government offices and other institutions.
The launch was attended by senior officers, including ACS PWD, Principal Secretary Home, Principal Secretary Culture, Registrar General of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Senior Additional Advocate General Mohsin Qadri, Member Secretary J&K State Legal Services Authority, Commissioner Secretary Housing & Urban Development, Commissioner Secretary Social Welfare, Commissioner Secretary Science & Technology, Commissioner Secretary Law, Secretary Rural Development, Secretary Legislative Assembly and senior officers of the Law Department and technical development team.
Speaking at the launch, Dulloo said the initiative marks an important step towards making government services more accessible, transparent and responsive.
He stressed the need to ensure that legal services remain simple, reliable and easily accessible, particularly for citizens who face difficulties navigating conventional legal and administrative procedures.
The Chief Secretary said the platform would strengthen the interface between citizens and legal institutions by making essential legal resources available through digital devices.
Giving details of the platform, Commissioner Secretary Law Achal Sethi said e-Nyaya Sarathi has been developed as a comprehensive digital gateway offering a range of legal services. These include legal aid and pro-bono assistance, along with a central repository of Acts, Rules, Judgments and Government Notifications.
The platform also provides dedicated tools such as ‘Search Your Case’ and ‘Find My Court’, enabling users to access case and court-related information more conveniently.
Dedicated modules covering Women & Child Development and Advocate Related Matters have also been incorporated, providing relevant information and services through the same unified interface.
A major feature of the platform is its AI-powered chatbot, designed to help users navigate the portal and obtain guidance on available legal resources and services. Officials said the technology-driven facility is intended to make access to legal information faster and more user-friendly.
The integrated digital framework is aimed at simplifying citizens’ interaction with the legal system while improving transparency and accessibility in the delivery of legal services.
The e-Nyaya Sarathi portal is available at [enyayasarathi.jk.gov.in](https://enyayasarathi.jk.gov.in?utm_source=chatgpt.com), while the mobile application is available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The initiative is expected to further strengthen Jammu and Kashmir’s shift towards technology-enabled, transparent and citizen-centric delivery of legal services.
