JAMMU, OCT 2: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s organisational outreach among the younger generation received a boost on Thursday as hundreds of youth joined the party at its headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, with J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma describing their participation as an indication of growing engagement of young people with public and organisational activities.
The joining programme was facilitated by BJYM J&K President Arun Prabhat, with the new entrants led by Deepak Charak. The induction added fresh members to the BJP’s organisational base in Jammu and brought a large group of young participants into the party fold.
Sat Sharma, accompanied by BJP General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, BJYM President Arun Prabhat, BJYM General Secretaries Anant Khajuria and Ranjeet Singh, and State Secretary OBC Morcha Sunny Sangotra, welcomed the new entrants at the party headquarters.
Welcoming the youth, Sat Sharma said their decision to join the BJP reflected their stated confidence in the party’s ideology, leadership and development-oriented agenda. He said the participation of young people could provide additional organisational energy and strengthen the party’s engagement with the younger generation across Jammu and Kashmir.
He said youth have an important role in India’s development process and called upon the newly inducted members to participate actively in organisational and social initiatives. Referring to the vision of Viksit Bharat, Sharma urged the new members to work at the grassroots level and help communicate the party’s programmes and initiatives among people.
“The energy, aspirations and capabilities of the youth are important for the nation’s development,” Sharma said, calling upon the newly joined members to combine organisational responsibilities with constructive engagement with society.
Baldev Singh Billawaria congratulated the new entrants and welcomed Deepak Charak and his associates into the BJP. He said their participation would add to the party’s organisational activities and provide greater opportunities for youth engagement.
Gopal Mahajan called upon the new members to work with discipline, dedication and sincerity, while encouraging them to participate actively in BJP programmes and grassroots organisational activities.
BJYM President Arun Prabhat said the participation of a large number of young people underlined the role of youth in organisational work and social initiatives. He said the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha would continue to provide platforms for young people to participate in constructive activities and contribute to community and nation-building efforts.
Deepak Charak, while thanking the BJP leadership for welcoming him and his associates, expressed commitment to working for the organisation and contributing to its activities.
The induction programme comes as political parties continue to focus on expanding their engagement with young voters and strengthening grassroots organisational networks across Jammu and Kashmir.
