BANDIPORA, OCT 21: In a significant move to strengthen security preparedness and enhance inter-agency coordination, Bandipora Police on Wednesday conducted a joint Counter-Insurgency Response System (CIRS) mock drill at Hajin Bridge, involving personnel from the Special Operations Group (SOG) Hajin, 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 45 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

The exercise was aimed at assessing the operational readiness of the participating forces, evaluating response mechanisms and strengthening coordination in dealing with potential security contingencies. The joint drill provided an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of established response procedures and ensure that personnel from different security agencies remain prepared to respond promptly and professionally to emerging situations.

The participation of the three security units underscored the importance of coordinated efforts among police, the Army and paramilitary forces in maintaining a robust security framework. Such exercises form an important component of preparedness measures, enabling security personnel to assess their response capabilities, improve communication and reinforce operational synergy.

Bandipora Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace, public safety and security across the district through proactive preparedness, effective coordination and professional policing.
