SRINAGAR, OCT 21: Mehvish Jan from Kashmir is sending a powerful message about women’s empowerment by packing apple boxes and demonstrating that women are capable of contributing to every field of work. Her efforts challenge traditional stereotypes that confine women to household responsibilities and highlight their strength, determination and willingness to work shoulder to shoulder with others.
Her example reflects the changing face of Kashmiri society, where women are increasingly stepping beyond conventional roles and making their mark through hard work, self-reliance and dignity of labour.
Mehvish Jan’s message is simple yet powerful: no work is small, no responsibility belongs exclusively to one gender, and a woman’s capabilities should never be defined by stereotypes.
