PULWAMA, SEPT 19: Newa Police intensified its crackdown on illegal mining and unauthorised transportation of minor minerals, seizing four dumpers during a raid.
The seized vehicles, bearing registration numbers JK13E-0812, JK13E-3390, JK13C-9616 and JK03G-9190, were found allegedly involved in the illegal transportation of minor minerals, police said.
In connection with the action, FIR Number 191/2026 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 3 of the PPD Act has been registered at Police Station Pulwama against the accused persons.
Police said further investigation is underway to establish the facts and ascertain the involvement of others, if any.
The action is part of the continued enforcement drive against illegal mining and unauthorised transportation of minor minerals, with police stressing strict action against violations involving public resources.
