STAKNA, SEPT 12: A nutrition awareness campaign was organised at the Anganwadi Centre level in Stakna under Martselang Zone, with active participation of all Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), focusing on promoting healthy dietary practices and improving nutritional awareness among the community.
The campaign sensitised community members on the importance of protein-rich and locally available foods, dietary diversity and adequate nutrition for children, women and families. Special emphasis was laid on encouraging the use of nutritious local food items as part of regular household diets.
As part of the initiative, Poshan Melas were organised to showcase and promote locally available nutritious foods, providing community members with practical exposure to healthy dietary choices.
CDPO Martselang, Zarina Bano, along with the concerned Supervisor, reviewed the activities and interacted with AWWs and community members. Regular nutrition counselling and awareness sessions were conducted to reinforce key messages on balanced diets and healthy nutrition practices.
The campaign underscored the importance of community participation and grassroots-level counselling in addressing nutritional concerns and promoting healthier lifestyles among children, women and families.
