NEW DELHI, SEPT 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu on winning the silver medal in the women’s 49 kg weightlifting event at the Asian Games.
Calling it a “special Silver”, PM Modi praised Chanu’s determination and consistency, saying her performances continue to inspire the nation.

“India is proud of her,” the Prime Minister said, while extending his best wishes to the star weightlifter for her future endeavours.
The medal adds another achievement to Mirabai Chanu’s distinguished international career and contributes to India’s medal tally at the Asian Games.
