PULWAMA, SEPT 13: Pulwama Police apprehended a suspected drug peddler during naka checking at Uthoora–Pingleena Crossing and recovered 149 grams of cannabis powder-like substance from his possession.

The accused was identified as Zahid Rashid, son of Ab Rashid Lone, resident of Pingleena. The recovered substance was seized following prescribed legal procedures.

Police registered FIR Number 185/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Pulwama, and further investigation has been initiated.

Pulwama Police reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking, stating that sustained action will continue against those involved in the illegal narcotics trade.
