SAMBA, SEPT 17: Samba Police, in coordination with security forces, conducted a joint night foot patrol and area domination exercise along the border belt of Police Station Ghagwal to strengthen security and maintain heightened vigilance in the border areas.
The joint team, led by Additional SP Samba, carried out extensive foot patrolling across sensitive border tracks and suspected infiltration routes in Mawa, Babber Nallah and Rajpura areas.
The exercise focused on identifying possible security gaps, enhancing night surveillance and further strengthening the security grid along the border belt.
During the patrol, officers also checked CCTV cameras installed by local shopkeepers and advised them to orient the cameras towards the main roads to facilitate effective monitoring and surveillance by the police.
The team further inspected Police Post Rajpura and reviewed the security arrangements and preparedness at the post.
Samba Police said such joint night patrols and area domination exercises are being conducted as part of continuous efforts to secure the border areas and maintain round-the-clock vigilance.
