JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 16: Sidhra Police intensified its crackdown on illegal mining with a night raid in the Challani Sarthan area, leading to the seizure of two JCB machines allegedly being used for unauthorised extraction of minor minerals.

The operation was conducted by a police team led by In-Charge Police Post Sidhra, PSI Abhishek Singh.

During the action, two JCBs bearing registration numbers JK02AS-50652 and JK21G-1045 were seized for their alleged involvement in illegal mining activities.

Following the seizure, Police informed the District Mining Officer (DMO), Jammu, for initiation of further action under the applicable mining laws and regulations.

Jammu Rural Police reiterated that strict enforcement against illegal mining and other unauthorised activities would continue across the district.

The drive, Police said, is aimed at protecting natural resources, curbing illegal extraction and safeguarding government revenue.
