SAMBA, SEPT 18: Personnel of 12 JKAP IR Battalion, Samba, were sensitised on drug de-addiction and human rights during the ongoing one-month refresher course being conducted for the force.
As part of the course, Dy.SP Raj Kumar delivered an informative lecture on “Drug De-addiction & Human Rights”, focusing on the harmful effects of drug abuse, preventive measures and the importance of rehabilitation in addressing substance abuse.
During the session, participants were also sensitised to the need for protecting human rights and maintaining dignity while dealing with drug-related cases. Emphasis was laid on a balanced approach combining effective enforcement with awareness, prevention and rehabilitation.
The participants were further encouraged to play an active role in promoting a drug-free society and to uphold the rights and dignity of every individual while performing their professional responsibilities.
The session formed part of the refresher course aimed at enhancing the professional knowledge, awareness and operational effectiveness of police personnel.
