ANANTNAG, OCT 27: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure, conducted an administrative inspection of Police Station Uttersoo on Tuesday to assess its functioning, review the prevailing crime scenario and evaluate operational preparedness, with emphasis on effective policing, accountability and timely disposal of cases.
During the inspection, the SSP undertook a comprehensive assessment of the police station’s infrastructure, examined official registers and records, and reviewed administrative functioning. The inspection was aimed at ensuring adherence to established procedures, improving operational efficiency and strengthening the delivery of police services.
As part of the visit, SSP Nagpure chaired a crime review meeting to assess the prevailing law-and-order situation, examine the progress of investigations and evaluate measures being undertaken to prevent criminal activities. He stressed the importance of expediting investigations, ensuring timely disposal of cases and maintaining professional standards at every stage of police work.
The SSP also inspected the police mess and reviewed the facilities available to personnel, taking stock of their welfare and living conditions. He subsequently held a Darbar with police jawans, providing them an opportunity to raise their concerns and discuss issues related to their working environment.
During the interaction, he emphasised discipline, professionalism, accountability and dedication to duty, underscoring the importance of maintaining high standards of conduct and operational effectiveness.
Reiterating the need for people-friendly policing, SSP Nagpure directed officers and officials to strengthen police-public relations, remain responsive to public grievances and maintain vigilance in addressing security and law-and-order challenges.
The inspection forms part of Anantnag Police’s ongoing efforts to monitor the functioning of police establishments, improve investigative efficiency and reinforce accountability across its units.
