BARAMULLA, SEPT 13: Baramulla Police conducted a Contingency Response Rehearsal at Railway Station Baramulla to assess and strengthen the preparedness, coordination and response capabilities of security and emergency agencies in the event of an unforeseen situation.
The exercise was conducted under the supervision of SP Operations Baramulla and witnessed coordinated participation from SOG Baramulla, CRPF 53 Battalion with K9 Team, CRPF 2nd Battalion, OCAPS Baramulla, 52 RR, BSF 31 Battalion, RPF, GRPF, Police Station Baramulla, Police Post Delina, SDRF Baramulla, Fire & Emergency Services, GMC Baramulla, MI Room DPL Baramulla, BSD/AST/PSK9 and other concerned personnel.
The simulated exercise focused on rapid mobilisation, inter-agency coordination, communication, evacuation, emergency response and crisis management, besides testing the effectiveness of the existing contingency response mechanism at the railway station.
The rehearsal also helped participating agencies identify operational gaps and areas requiring improvement, enabling them to fine-tune response procedures and enhance readiness for any potential contingency.
Baramulla Police said such joint exercises are being conducted to strengthen real-time coordination and timely response capabilities, with agencies working closely to ensure the safety and security of the public.
