HANDWARA, SEPT 21: Handwara Police has launched a 15-day joint law and order training drill with the CRPF to strengthen operational preparedness and sharpen the response of police personnel to crowd-management and public-order challenges.
The training focuses on practical handling of law and order situations, crowd control, standard operating procedures and coordinated response during challenging situations.
The exercise is aimed at ensuring that officers and personnel remain fully conversant with established procedures and techniques required for maintaining public order.
The training capsule will be conducted batch-wise, with subsequent batches undergoing the exercise after completion of the first batch, ensuring wider coverage of police personnel.
The inaugural session was attended by officers of Handwara Police and CRPF, while the Additional SP Handwara and DySP DR delivered the inaugural briefing, covering key aspects of law-and-order management, operational preparedness and coordinated response.
The participating personnel were directed to undergo the training with seriousness and discipline, with emphasis on maintaining operational readiness, coordination and a measured response while dealing with law and order situations.
