SRINAGAR, SEPT 24, 2026: Army Commander Northern Command Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited various units and formations across the Kashmir Valley to take stock of their operational preparedness and counter-terrorism readiness.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma interacted with troops deployed as part of the counter-terrorism grid and reviewed their preparedness to respond to emerging security challenges.
He commended the personnel for their professionalism, determination and unwavering commitment to operational duties.
The Army Commander emphasised the need for sustained vigilance and proactive measures to effectively address emerging threats.
He stressed the importance of maintaining a high state of readiness and remaining alert to changing security dynamics in the Valley.
The interactions also provided an opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of troops operating in challenging conditions and reinforce the importance of discipline, professional conduct and operational preparedness.
