GANDERBAL, SEPT 21: The Grand T20 Knockout Police Cricket Tournament witnessed a series of keenly contested encounters in Ganderbal, with six teams registering victories in their respective matches.
Al Ummah CC defeated RCC Dab by eight wickets, with Jamsheed emerging Player of the Match after claiming seven wickets and scoring 23 runs. Lions Ganderbal registered a 51-run victory over Sky Rangers Gadoora, with Afroz Ahmad producing a decisive spell of four wickets for 14 runs.
Hill Top School Ganderbal edged past Sheikh Agencies Lar by one wicket in a close finish, with Mehraj Sofi earning Player of the Match honours for his two-wicket spell that cost 16 runs. Crescent 11 Rangil also dominated its contest, securing a seven-wicket victory, with Irfan Ul Haq contributing 39 runs and two wickets.
Fayaz 11 recorded one of the biggest wins of the round, defeating Gund-A by 98 runs, while United 11 Batwina beat NDL Ganderbal by 37 runs. Shahbaz Shabir and Arshad Bhat were adjudged Players of the Match in the two encounters.
Ganderbal Police congratulated the teams and individual performers, with the tournament providing a platform for sporting talent, healthy competition and constructive engagement under the Civic Action Programme.
