LEH, SEPTEMBER 26: Commissioner Secretary Finance, UT Ladakh, Tsewang Tharchin, on Saturday inaugurated a Handicrafts, Handlooms, Local Cuisine and Chang-Khang exhibition at Municipal Committee Park, Leh Market, as part of Ladakh Festival 2026.
He was accompanied by Secretary Tourism & Culture Sanjit Rodrigues, Director Tourism Tashi Dolma, Deputy Director Tourism Mohd Taqi, Deputy Secretary Culture Tsewang Paljor and other officers.
The dignitaries visited various stalls and interacted with exhibitors while viewing a wide range of traditional handicrafts, handlooms, local cuisine and cultural products showcasing Ladakh’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
The exhibition also features live demonstrations by local artisans, including basket weaving, wood carving, pottery and other traditional crafts, providing visitors an opportunity to witness traditional skills and techniques firsthand.
The event offers local artisans and craftspeople a platform to promote their traditional products, skills and cultural heritage among visitors and tourists attending the Ladakh Festival.
The exhibition will remain open to the public till September 28, 2026.
