SAMBA, SEPT 28: Samba Police has intensified security along the railway corridor, with SSP Samba leading a joint foot patrol with Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel to strengthen surveillance and prevent any security threat to vital railway infrastructure.
The joint operation covered the railway track and adjoining areas falling under Police Station Samba, with security teams conducting thorough checks of vulnerable and strategically sensitive locations.
Officers also reviewed existing security arrangements and assessed the ground situation to identify any potential gaps requiring immediate attention.
The exercise was aimed at maintaining heightened vigilance along the railway corridor, strengthening real-time coordination between Samba Police and GRP, and ensuring the safety of railway infrastructure as well as passengers and railway personnel.
The patrol was led by SSP Samba and included Additional SP Samba, DySP Headquarters Samba, DySP SOG Samba, SHO Police Station Samba and Incharges of Police Posts Rakh Amb Talli and Supwal, besides other police officers and personnel. GRP Samba officers and personnel also joined the operation.
