JAMMU, SEPT 18: Border Police Post (BPP) Sandwan stepped up its crackdown on illegal mining and unauthorised extraction of minor minerals, seizing a JCB machine allegedly involved in illegal mining in the Ghou Manhasan area.
Acting on the ground, the police team of BPP Sandwan detained the JCB bearing Chassis No. RAJ3DXINK03283476 after it was found allegedly engaged in illegal mining activities.

The matter will be referred to the District Mining Officer (DMO), Jammu, for further legal action under the applicable mining laws and regulations.
The action underlines the police crackdown against illegal mining activities and unauthorised use of machinery for extraction of minor minerals.
