Mohali, Sep 23: CGC University, Mohali, hosted the maiden Industry-Integrated Board (IIB) Executive Leadership Dialogue 2026, bringing together university leadership and representatives of more than 50 leading organisations to discuss emerging workforce trends and industry-aligned education.
The dialogue was attended by CGC University Founder and Chancellor S Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal and Executive Vice President Sushil Prashar.
Representatives from companies including Google, TCS, Accenture, IBM, EY India, Salesforce, SAP, HCLTech, Capgemini, Maruti Suzuki, KPMG, Ericsson, eBay and others participated in the discussions.
The deliberations focused on evolving skill requirements, curriculum enhancement, experiential learning, emerging technologies and capability gaps, besides strengthening industry-academia collaboration.
Participants also discussed opportunities for internships, live projects, professional certifications, mentorship, Centres of Excellence, research, innovation, and placements.
The university said inputs from the dialogue would contribute to an IIB Strategic Action Agenda aimed at translating industry requirements into academic initiatives. The event marked the beginning of a structured mechanism for continued engagement between industry and academia, with the university emphasising the need to keep curricula and learning experiences aligned with the changing demands of the workplace.
