BUDGAM, SEPT 27: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Sujit Kumar, directed Budgam Police to intensify preventive policing, strengthen the security grid and ensure prompt action against criminal and anti-social elements during a comprehensive review of the district’s security and crime situation.
Sujit Kumar chaired the review meeting at District Police Headquarters, Budgam, in the presence of DIG Central Kashmir Range Rajiv Omparkash Pande, SSP Budgam Hariprasad K K and other senior police officers.
The IGP conducted a detailed review of the prevailing security scenario, crime situation, investigation of cases, crime prevention measures and ongoing police operations.
He called for heightened vigilance and stronger coordination among field formations to effectively address security challenges and prevent criminal activities.
The officers were directed to maintain a proactive approach on the ground and ensure timely and effective action against elements involved in criminal and anti-social activities.
The IGP also stressed strengthening preventive measures and maintaining close coordination between different police formations for a swift response to emerging challenges.
SSP Budgam briefed the IGP about the prevailing security and crime situation in the district and detailed the measures being implemented to strengthen policing, security arrangements and public safety.
The review underscored the need for sustained vigilance, effective field coordination and proactive policing to maintain peace and security across Budgam.
