The accused have been identified as Dilshad and Koser, both residents of Dak Bunglow, Marallian. During a search conducted in accordance with due legal procedure and in the presence of a Magistrate/Gazetted Officer, police allegedly recovered approximately 10–15 grams of suspected heroin-like substance from each accused.

Following the recovery, a written docket was prepared and forwarded to Police Station Miran Sahib, resulting in the registration of FIR Number 159/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act.

The investigation has been entrusted to PSI Yatin, who is examining the alleged source of the suspected narcotic substance, its intended destination and possible forward and backward linkages to determine whether the arrested persons were part of a wider supply network.

The recovery and subsequent investigation are significant from the perspective of tracing the supply chain rather than limiting enforcement action to suspected street-level possession. Investigators are expected to examine the origin of the substance, possible suppliers and intended recipients as the case progresses.

Miran Sahib Police reiterated its zero-tolerance approach towards narcotics trafficking and peddling, stating that sustained action would continue against individuals involved in the illegal drug trade and that further legal action would follow as the investigation establishes the facts.
