NEW DELHI, OCT 7: The BSF Central Aquatic Team delivered a dominant performance at the 74th All India Police Aquatic Cluster-2026, emerging as the overall team champion and securing an impressive haul of 47 medals, including 14 gold, 19 silver and 14 bronze.
The championship was held at the NSG Campus, Manesar, from September 28 to October 7, bringing together police and Central Armed Police Forces teams in a high-level competitive sporting environment. The BSF contingent demonstrated strong performances across swimming, diving and water polo events to establish its overall supremacy in the aquatic disciplines.
Apart from securing the Overall Team Championship, the BSF team also won the Overall Synchronized Diving Championship, Men’s Springboard Championship, Women’s High Board Championship and Women’s Water Polo Championship, underlining its depth and consistency across multiple disciplines.
Adding another individual distinction to the team’s achievement, Seema Prahari Utkarsh Joshi was awarded the Best Diver Trophy for an outstanding performance in diving events.
The performance reflects the sustained emphasis placed by the Border Security Force (BSF) on sports and the development of sporting talent among its personnel. The combination of competitive excellence across disciplines and strong representation in both men’s and women’s events highlights the force’s continuing efforts to provide its sportspersons with opportunities to compete and excel at the national level.
The BSF described the achievement as a reflection of the dedication, discipline, hard work and sporting passion of its personnel, besides the sustained institutional focus on nurturing athletes and promoting a culture of excellence.
