SRINAGAR, SEPT 19: SDRF 1st Battalion, Srinagar, conducted a one-day disaster awareness programme at the Jio Head Office, SARA Complex, near Jehangir Chowk Flyover, to enhance preparedness and response skills among company officials.

The programme covered earthquake and flood preparedness, use of floating aids, fire safety and Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques, including CPR and choking management.

The SDRF team also demonstrated various rope knots and their practical applications during rescue operations.

Around 25 senior officials and members of Jio participated in the programme and underwent practical demonstrations and training aimed at improving their ability to respond effectively during emergencies.

The initiative highlighted the importance of disaster preparedness, basic rescue skills and timely response in reducing risks during emergencies.
