SSP Nagpure cracks down on pending cases, directs officers to step up field policing in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, OCT 1: With focus on tightening the policing mechanism and improving the pace of investigations, SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure chaired an Ops & Crime Review Meeting at DPO Anantnag and issued firm directions to supervisory officers to step up preventive policing and operational preparedness across the district.

Senior police and supervisory officers attended the meeting, where the SSP conducted a comprehensive review of the law and order situation, crime pattern, important investigations, pending cases and operational readiness of the district police.

SSP Nagpure directed officers to clear investigation pendency on priority, ensure quality and timely investigation of important cases and maintain close supervision over cases at every level.

Officers were asked to personally monitor the progress of sensitive and important investigations and ensure that avoidable delays do not hamper the policing process.

The SSP further directed field officers to intensify action against criminal and anti-social elements, strengthen preventive measures and maintain sustained surveillance over emerging crime-related activities.

Calling for greater alertness on the ground, Nagpure stressed that officers must maintain high vigilance, strengthen field-level supervision and ensure an immediate response to any emerging security, crime or law-and-order challenge.

He also directed all units to maintain seamless coordination and information-sharing so that operational responses remain swift and effective.

The SSP made it clear that effective supervision, timely investigation, preventive action and constant field presence must remain central to policing efforts across Anantnag district.
