JAMMU, SEPT 24: Jammu and Kashmir’s international athlete Vansh Mahajan has successfully qualified for the Diploma in Fencing from the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala, under the Sports Authority of India (SAI), adding a professional qualification to his distinguished sporting career.
Mahajan has represented India at the international level on multiple occasions and has also competed in National Championships and School National competitions. His sporting journey has been shaped by years of disciplined training, competitive exposure and sustained dedication.
His performance during the NSNIS course was particularly noteworthy, as he secured second position in his batch with Grade A. The achievement reflects his efforts to enhance his technical knowledge and deepen his understanding of the sport beyond competitive participation.
The specialised qualification provides Mahajan with a professional foundation for further opportunities in coaching, athlete training, development programmes, technical support and mentoring of emerging players. It also complements the practical experience he has gained through years of competition at national and international levels.
