PARIHASPORA, OCT 3: Marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, 20 JKAP IR organised a “Run for Unity” at Parihaspora, bringing together school students in a spirited initiative promoting national integration, brotherhood, physical fitness and social responsibility.
Around 516 boys and girls from eight schools of Zone Singhpora participated in the event. Students competed across different age categories, displaying enthusiasm, discipline and sporting spirit throughout the run.
To recognise their participation, the organisers distributed finishing medals, rewards and refreshments among the participants. Sports kits were also presented to the participating schools to encourage greater involvement of students in sports and regular physical activities.
Commandant 20 JKAP IR, Surjeet Kumar, interacted with the students and encouraged them to remain focused on their education, work hard and stay away from harmful influences. He called upon the youth to play an active role in combating the menace of drugs, spread awareness among their peers and contribute constructively to society.
The Commandant also emphasised the importance of discipline, physical fitness and responsible citizenship, urging students to channel their energy towards positive and nation-building pursuits.
The event combined youth engagement, sports promotion and community outreach, while reinforcing the message of unity associated with Sardar Patel’s legacy. The initiative also highlighted the continued efforts of 20 JKAP IR to connect with young people through constructive activities and promote healthy, disciplined and socially responsible communities.
