Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Nabin on Wednesday appointed Dr Satish Poonia as the new J&K Prabhari (in-charge) and Reena Kashyap as Seh-Prabhari (co-incharge).
Poonia has also been made in-charge of Punjab state with Virendra Sachdeva and Dr Alka Gurjar as co-incharges.
Poonia has replaced Tarun Chugh, who has been made in-charge of the Prime Minister’s home state Gujarat with Ajay Mahawar and Gomati Sai as co-incharges.
Raj Kumar Bhatia has been appointed as in-charge Ladakh affairs.
They are among 77 new in-charges and co-incharges of 36 states and Union Territories, appointed by Nitin Nabin on Wednesday, September 23, 2006.
Their appointments will come into effect forthwith.
Punjab and Gujarat are going to polls with Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh in 2027.
As per an order issued by Member Parliament Rajya Sabha and national headquarters in-charge Tarun Chugh, Ram Madhav, also former in-charge J&K affairs, has been given charge of Tamil Nadu state with Nirmal Kumar Sarana and D K Aruna as co-incharges. Ram Madhav will also be in-charge of Uttarakhand state with Arvind Menon and Bansuri Swaraj as co-incharges.
Former Union Minister Smriti Irani has been appointed as in-charge of Chhattisgarh with Siddharth Shambhu as co-incharge.
Irani has also been given charge of Haryana state with Dr Bhola Singh as co-incharge.
Vinod Tawde has been appointed as Uttar Pradesh in-charge with Jagdish Patel, Medha Kulkarni, Dr Pradeep Verma and Anant Ojha as co-incharges.
Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe will be Delhi Prabhari (in-charge) while Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Darshanaben Jardosh will be co-incharges.
Baijayant Jay Panda will be in-charge of Maharashtra state while former national in-charge of BJP’s Information and Technology (IT) and Social Media department Amit Malviya, Sadanand Shet Tanavade and Kamaljeet Sehrawat will be co-incharges.
