The ninth-generation Hilux represents Toyota’s continued focus on durability, reliability and versatility. Built on the proven IMV platform, the new model has been engineered to handle demanding work conditions while offering the refinement and comfort required for daily urban driving and long-distance travel.

Developed around Toyota’s “Tough & Agile” design philosophy, the new Hilux gets a substantially refreshed exterior. Its bold front profile draws inspiration from the “Cyber Sumo” concept, reflecting the vehicle’s emphasis on strength, stability and a commanding road presence.

The redesigned front bumper with piano-black elements, LED headlamps with welcome function, LED fog lamps and distinctive DRLs give the Hilux a sharper appearance. Alloy wheels, aerodynamic stabilising fins, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, LED rear combination lamps and a shark-fin antenna further add to its modern styling.

Under the hood, the Hilux is powered by a 2.8-litre BS6 Phase 2 diesel engine delivering 150 kW and 500 Nm, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. An 80-litre fuel tank has been provided for extended journeys, while the powertrain is designed to deliver strong performance across city roads, highways and challenging terrain.

The vehicle retains Toyota’s legendary 4×4 system, offering H4 and L4 ranges for different driving conditions. Electronic Differential Lock and Downhill Assist Control further strengthen its off-road credentials. The suspension setup combines a double-wishbone front and leaf-spring rear arrangement for a balance of ride comfort, stability and load-handling capability.

Inside, the new Hilux gets a more premium and technology-focused cabin. Soft-touch upholstery, metallic accents, integrated storage and an ergonomic cockpit are complemented by tilt and telescopic steering, 60:40 split rear seats and power windows with jam protection.

Convenience features include Smart Entry and Push Start/Stop, parking assist, wireless charging, cruise control, rear armrest, PM2.5 air filtration and Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes.

Technology takes centre stage with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an optitron metal-tone combimeter, multi-information TFT display, voice recognition and steering-mounted controls. An eight-speaker audio system further enhances the cabin experience.

Safety remains a key focus, with the Hilux equipped with seven SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, ABS with Brake Assist, Emergency Brake Signal, ISOFIX child restraint anchorages and front seatbelts with force limiters.

The vehicle also features Toyota’s GOA impact-absorbing body structure, speed-sensing door locks, panoramic view monitor, front and rear parking sensors and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

Customers can choose from Super White, Platinum Pearl White, Attitude Black+, Emotional Red, Sulphur Metallic and Ash exterior shades. A range of genuine Toyota accessories, including headlamp garnish, door garnish kits, side visors and side protective mouldings, is also available for further personalisation.

Shree Toyota said the new Hilux will be backed by Toyota’s assured service ecosystem, aimed at providing customers with dependable after-sales support and a seamless ownership experience.

The all-new Hilux is available in three variants, with prices starting at ₹31.99 lakh ex-showroom.
