LEH, SEPT 28: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, in collaboration with the Department of Skill Education, CBSE, today commenced a three-day bootcamp on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Citizenship and Educational Technology at NIELIT, Leh.
The programme aims to familiarise students with emerging technologies, responsible digital practices and the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in education and everyday life.
A team of resource persons from IBM–1M1B, including Senior Trainer Anip Sharma and AI Youth Trainer Lakshya, is conducting the training.
The resource persons are engaging participants through interactive sessions, practical activities and hands-on learning focused on AI, digital citizenship and educational technology.
Around 70 students, accompanied by escort teachers, are participating in the three-day programme. The bootcamp has been designed to strengthen students’ digital competencies, creativity and critical-thinking abilities while creating greater awareness about the responsible and effective use of emerging technologies.
The initiative reflects DIET Leh’s continued focus on promoting technology-enabled learning and 21st-century skills, in alignment with the objectives of NEP 2020 and the evolving requirements of digital education.
The bootcamp will continue over the next two days, featuring experiential and activity-based learning sessions aimed at providing students with practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence and other emerging digital technologies.
