AWANTIPORA, SEPT 24, 2026: Police arrested a suspected drug peddler during naka checking at Aripal Bridge in Tral and recovered contraband from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Allie, son of Gh Nabi Allie, resident of Syeedabad Pastuna.
During the checking, police intercepted and searched the accused, recovering 50 grams of cannabis and 300 grams of cannabis powder from his possession.

In this connection, FIR Number 106/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Tral, and further investigation has been initiated.
Police said efforts against drug trafficking and substance abuse will continue with the objective of curbing the illegal drug trade and promoting a drug-free society.
