GANDERBAL, SEPT 28: Continuing efforts under the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” campaign, Ganderbal Police, in collaboration with the Excise Department, conducted a joint drive against the growth and cultivation of wild cannabis (Bhung).
During the operation, joint teams conducted an extensive search at Bamloora and Saloora, where wild Bhung plants were found growing.
The plants were subsequently destroyed to prevent their potential use in the preparation of illicit narcotic substances.
The joint action forms part of ongoing preventive and enforcement measures aimed at curbing the availability of narcotic substances and protecting the younger generation from substance abuse.
Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to intensifying such coordinated operations against narcotic substances across the district and urged the public to cooperate with law-enforcement agencies in making Jammu & Kashmir Nasha Mukt.
