QAZIGUND, SEPT 28: The SDRF Sub-Component Qazigund conducted a one-day Disaster Management Awareness Programme at Government Degree College, Veerinag, aimed at enhancing awareness and preparedness among students and teaching faculty.
The programme focused on disaster management and mitigation, with SDRF personnel conducting practical demonstrations on choking management, first aid for shock, CPR, fire emergencies, emergency evacuation and splinting.
Around 50 students and members of the teaching faculty actively participated in the programme and gained practical knowledge of essential life-saving and emergency response techniques.
The initiative highlighted the importance of community preparedness and equipping students with basic skills to respond effectively during emergencies and disaster situations.
